Manchester City are reportedly battling it out against Arsenal for the signature of Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez.

The Algerian has been a subject of speculation in recent times, with more clubs linked with the left-footed winger.

Media reports in Spain suggest that City manager, Pep Guardiola is reportedly an admirer of the tricky midfielder and is hopeful of adding more attacking talent to his squad.

Meanwhile, Mahrez has also been linked with moves to the Gunners and Chelsea, but insists he is ‘settled’ at King Power Stadium, despite an attempt to leave in the last transfer window.

To add fuel to the speculation, Guardiola was spotted chatting with the Desert Foxes international at the end of the Blues’ 2-0 victory over Leicester last weekend.

“Everyone knows that I had desires to leave, except that it did not happen. I do not want to think of the transfer window at the moment. We still have 12 games to play until January, so if I thought of the transfer window now, I will not play football anymore,” Mahrez recently told the Daily Star.

With his future remaining unclear, will Mahrez be tempted to join the title changing City and possibly add to his EPL gold medal?

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has revealed that he was subject to a big money offer from an unnamed Chinese Super League club.

The 28-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from Borussia Dortmund, but with the new league season approaching, it seems ever more likely that the Gabon international will remain in Germany.

According to Sunday’s edition of Die Welt, Aubameyang admitted that he had received a big money offer from China.

Dortmund, though, are confident that the speedster will not be sold with Aubameyang contracted to the club till 2020.

China’s Tianjin Quanjin are said to be chasing Aubameyang’s signature and the forward admits he is tempted by the money on offer in the Asian nation.

“Yes, I had an offer. But I think the Chinese were hard pressed to submit a bid to Borussia Dortmund,” Aubameyang told Die Welt.

“I think the structures are still not as professional as in Europe. It is normal that you think about it, if so much money is offered,” he said.

“I know that many people have said that you can not go to China, because the football (there) is a step back. But I think that anybody would think about it when he gets such an offer.”

The Gabon international ended the 2016-17 season as the German Bundeliga’s top scorer with 31 goals.
