Ivory Coast international Jean Michael Seri has expressed his desire to join French Ligue 1 rivals Paris-Saint Germain.

The Nice midfielder, who has watched his club side fail to replicate the sort of form they produced last season, has been dominating the news of late – despite a rather underwhelming run of form for the 26-year-old personally.

Seri attracted strong interest from Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona in the European summer, only for a proposed deal to fall through.

The former versatile playmaker, though, is hopeful that a big money move will come his way sooner rather than later, with Arsenal and PSG possible destinations.

When asked if there had been contact from PSG, Seri told Le Parisien: “Yes, there have been, especially with the sports director Antero Henrique.

“If I leave Nice, it will be for a team where I feel desired and who play good football.

“Paris has this philosophy, to which I am very attached. So why not?”

Seri has been directly involved in five goals in 15 appearances across all competitions this season, as Nice continue to struggle at the wrong end of the league standings.

Paris Saint-Germain’s Ivory Coast defender Serge Aurier is reportedly set for a switch to Tottenham Hotspur.

The Elephants right-back underwent a medical assessment in Paris on Friday and is set to complete a move to London for a fee of £23-million – subject to the acquisition of a work permit.

Aurier, 24, was handed a two-month suspended sentence for assaulting a police officer in Paris in 2016 and is currently banned from entering the UK.

However, it is believed his appeal against the sentence will be successful and allow the player to obtain the necessary paperwork.

Sky Sports reports that Spurs have pipped Manchester United in the race for the West African star, who is surplus to requirements at PSG following their capture of Dani Alves.

Aurier is set to serve as a replacement for Kyle Walker, who was sold by Spurs to Premier League rivals Manchester City.

Algeria intend on moving their home 2018 World Cup qualifier against Zambia on September 5 to the Mohamed Hamlaoui Stadium in Constantine, it was revealed this past weekend.

The Fennec Foxes and Chipololo will meet in a double header in Group B in the next two rounds of 2018 World Cup qualifying matches, with the teams first meeting in a Matchday 3 clash in Lusaka at the National Heroes Stadium on September 2.

Three days later they will meet in the return game in Constantine, rather than the expected venue of Mustapha Tchaker Stadium in Blida.

Kheireddine Zetchi of the Algerian FA confirmed the development in a press conference this past weekend: “We will play the first leg against Zambia on September 2 in Lusaka and three days later we will face Same team here in Algeria.

“We plan to organise the meeting in Constantine. This is a decision we made after a first delegation visited the city. I can even tell you that the report was very positive.”

Zetchi added, “Even the players are not against the idea of playing the encounter of Zambia in Constantine.

“Indeed, they want to discover new cities and perform in towns in the interior of the country. That’s why we opted for the Constantine Stadium.”

It was also confirmed that 32,000 tickets will be sold for the match against Zambia at the Mohamed Hamlaoui Stadium
