South Africa goalkeepers Itumeleng Khune and Darren Keet are set to miss Bafana Bafana’s clashes with Cape Verde next month.
Bafana are scheduled to lock horns with Cape Verde in back to back 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers next month.
Experienced goalkeeper Khune, who is currently on the books of South African Absa Premiership giants Kaizer Chiefs, is down with a chest infection.
While goalkeeper Keet, who is also plying his trade in the Absa Premiership for Bidvest Wits, is currently suffering from a knee injury.
Stuart Baxter, the Bafana coach, has called up Reyaad Pieterse of SuperSport United as well as Wayne Sandilands of Orlando Pirates as replacements.
This was confirmed by the South African Football Association (SAFA) on Wednesday.
South Africa are scheduled to face off with Cape Verde on Friday, 1 September 2017 at the Estadio Nacional Stadium in Cape Verde.
The return leg encounter is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, 5 September at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban, South Africa.
Bafana assemble for camp on Sunday, 27 August 2017 in Johannesburg, and expected to travel to Cape Verde on Tuesday, 29 August.
