Paris Saint-Germain’s Goncalo Guedes would like to stay at Valencia

Goncalo Guedes‘ father believes Valencia will make a bid to get his son from Paris Saint-Germain this summertime, a transfer that he claims would profit all events.

No invest in-out option was bundled in the deal that brought the Portuguese winger to Valencia in September on a season-length bank loan from PSG.

Valencia is eager to keep the 21-yr-aged further than June 30 and Le Parisien described last week that the French club is keen to negotiate and sell Guedes for €40 million to abide by UEFA’S Monetary Good Play restrictions.

“We know that [Valencia proprietor] Peter Lim is hoping to signal Goncalo but it is dependent on numerous variables,” Guedes‘ father Rogerio Guedes explained to Tribuna Deportiva. “I never consider Valencia are heading to allow go of this prospect contemplating that next season they will play in the Champions League.

“My son would like to keep on but right now, we never know anything. It is dependent on PSG. We also have to see if he will go to the World Cup. We will have to wait around until finally June 30.”

Tied to PSG until finally June 2021, Guedes performed just after for the French aspect in Ligue 1 pursuing his €30m transfer from Benfica in January 2017.

Even so, he has been frequent below Marcelinho at Valencia, in which he has scored four goals and set up nine far more in 29 league appearances to assistance Los Che stay on the program for Champions League football next season.

“He preferred to play far more and in Paris there ended up numerous stars, a lot of wonderful players,” Rogerio explained. “At Valencia, he has found far more calmness. He is doing work very really hard and has to keep on.

“No one particular knows what will come about, but for the time being he is very pleased listed here and eager to keep on. As a father, I consider the greatest thing for him would be for him to keep on.

Rogerio believes it would be a win-win situation if Valencia ended up to make Guedes’ transfer long lasting.

“I never believe Goncalo’s future belongs in Paris since of its sporting structure,” he explained. “To have Goncalo sitting down on the bench does not desire PSG. If Goncalo continues at Valencia anyone wins.

“I consider he could keep on at Valencia, keep increasing and he would turn into far more valuable for Valencia. He can keep on [listed here] for one particular or two far more many years. To be an economic asset of Valencia and then make a triumphant exit.”

Valencia is fourth in La Liga, 10 points obvious of Real Betis with four games remaining.

In the meantime, Damien Comolli, who has laboured for Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Monaco and Saint-Etienne in a wide range of sporting director and scouting roles in the past, has branded PSG’s situation with Jese Rodriguez a “economic honest play (FFP) nightmare.”

“Correct now, he is worth unquestionably very little — zero,” Comolli explained. “Both PSG end his agreement and write him a cheque, or they say to him: ‘agree on a deal with a club and we will negotiate a share in the scenario of a resale.’ Even so, Jese stays a nightmare for PSG as far as FFP goes.”

Speaking of Grzegorz Krychowiak, also on a bank loan in the Leading League this season but with West Bromwich Albion, Comolli was far more optimistic about PSG’s situation.

“PSG can rely on the finding of €10m again from him,” explained Comolli. “He continues to be an excellent player with fascinated clubs in France, Spain and Italy. The greatest strategy would be to bank loan him out with an option to invest.

PSG’s Goncalo Guedes unsure of future after strong start at Valencia

Adrien Rabiot says PSG’s 5-0 win over Anderlecht is more proof the French giants are finding their rhythm this season.
Things are looking up for PSG left-back Layvin Kurzawa following his hat trick against Anderlecht, says Jonathan Johnson.

Valencia’s Goncalo Guedes, who is on a season-long loan from Paris Saint-Germain, is unsure whether or not he has a future with the Ligue 1 giants.

The Portugal international joined Valencia without an option to buy late in the summer transfer window and the former Benfica man has illuminated Mestalla with three goals and five assists from six starting appearances in La Liga.

“It is always good that top teams show an interest in my work although I do not know anything about my future,” Guedes said. “I do not know what is going to happen [next season] but I would like to remain at Valencia.

“I am very happy here and I have been treated very well.”

Guedes, 20, has caught the eye of many in his first few outings for Valencia and has been tipped as a potential Ballon d’Or winner in the future if he can maintain his impressive form.

Goncalo Guedes has been an instant hit since joining Valencia.

He only joined PSG from Benfica in January but struggled to break into Unai Emery’s plans over the second half of last term and was rarely given chances to impress.

With the summer arrivals of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe creating a surplus of attacking talent at Parc des Princes, as well as the arrival of a new sporting director in Antero Henrique, Guedes’ value to the Ligue 1 giants is unclear.

However, considering his current form and question marks over the futures of the likes of Angel Di Maria, Javier Pastore and Lucas Moura, it could be that Emery and Henrique are planning for PSG’s future with Guedes from next summer onwards.

Equally, if PSG struggle to move on players like Di Maria, Pastore and Lucas in January or next summer, Guedes’ could be a lucrative source of money in a bid to comply with UEFA’s financial fair play (FFP) rules.
