“We knew if we scored early in the second half we’d have a chance. We need to relax and work hard because Saturday is a big one.”

West Ham are just two places above the relegation zone heading into the match against the Eagles, having been beaten 3-0 at home by Brighton & Hove Albion in their last Premier League outing.

Ivory Coast international Wilfried Zaha is happy to have helped Crystal Palace bounce back to winning ways on Saturday.

The winger inspired Palace to a 2-1 win over Chelsea in a English Premier League (EPL) match at the Selhurst Park in London.

Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha is pleased to have completed negotiations with his club just a week after the season’s conclusion.

The Ivory Coast international has agreed a five-year contract extension with the English Premier League side.

“It is a nice feeling for me personally to get the contract signed as soon as possible after the season,” Zaha told the club’s official website.

“It’s a good reassurance to see how much the club believe in me and are backing me and I am delighted to be extending my contract with the club,” he added.

The 24-year-old winger netted nine goals during the 2016/17 season – with two of those named in the Goal of the Season nominations.

“I would have to say that my favourite would be the one away to Hull City in our 3-3 draw,” Zaha continued.

“It’s also probably one of the best goals I have scored, and when looking back at those I scored over the season that would be the one that I would pick out.”

Zaha has been linked with a possible move to English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur since last year.
