Welcome to coverage of the 2017 CAF Confederation Cup final, second leg between SuperSport United and TP Mazembe from the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Tshwane, South Africa.
All times CAT
90+4′ – Full time – It ends 0-0 and TP Mazembe win the final 2-1 on aggregate! The DRC giants defend their Confederation Cup crown, while the South Africans miss out on a first continental prize!
90+1′ – Yellow card – Furman booked for a challenge borne of frustration. There will be four minutes of added time.
90′ – Red card – Phala is sent off for a studs-up challenge, he can have no complaint. It’s 10 v 10 for what remains of the match.
88′ – Wome plays a disappointing pass straight out of play as the desperation builds for United…
85′ – Five minutes left for SuperSport to get one goal against a team down to 10 men. Surely they’ll never get a better chance to win a continental competition?
82′ – Yellow card, sending off – Mazembe down to 10 men for the remainder of the match after Kabaso picks up his second booking and is sent off! The defender went through the back of Nkhatha to earn the caution.
81′ – Substitution – Kingston Nkhatha replaces Mbule in the last change of the match.
80′ – Grobler shoots direct from the set piece… way too high, disappointing effort.
79′ – Free kick just outside the penalty area for United. Can they make something of this chance?
77′ – Yellow card – Kabaso now booked for a late challenge in midfield. It suits the visitors to make the game stop-start…
76′ – Yellow card – Mpeko cautioned for a late kick on the United goalkeeper.
74′ – Substitution – Traore makes way for Solomon Asante in the final change for the Ravens.
73′ – Wome brings down a cross in the box and gets away a shot, but it’s a cormfortable save for the TPM ‘keeper.
72′ – Malango with a low shot… comfortable save for Williams.
71′ – Yellow card – Mashamaite is perhaps lucky to get only a caution as he cynically takes down Mika.
68′ – Kimwaki goes down with cramp, it’s already some crafty time wasting from TPM as we reach the midway point of the second half.
66′ – Substitution – Dove Wome replaces Brockie in United’s second change. The New Zealand striker won’t add any further to the 10 goals he has in the competition.
65′ – Malango with a great turn down the left flank, but his attempted cross is poor.
64′ – Substitution – Adjei makes way for Miche Mika in Mazembe’s second change.
61′ – Modiba with a shooting chance on the left of the box… just over the target! United are getting closer.
60′ – Substitution – Kalaba is replaced by Mechak Elia in Mazembe’s first change.
57′ – Mbule tumbles in the box, but there’s no real shot for a penalty from the hosts.
55′ – A United corner is flicked on by Daniels, before Grobler and Mashamaite both miss out on the loose ball!
53′ – Kekana floats in a cross from the right, Kimwaki with a good headed clearance.
50′ – Grobler with a half chance in the penalty area, but he’s called back for a hand ball.
49′ – Mashamaite with a fine challenge to stop the run of Traore in the penalty area. Mazembe look revived after the half time break.
46′ – Substitution – Back underway in the second half. United have made a change at the break, with Nhlapo making way for Grant Kekana, presumably due to injury.
45+1′ – Half time – The game and the tie remain precariously poised at 0-0 and 2-1 to TPM respectively. The visitors will feel they should have killed off the game early on, but United’s growing strength suggests the trophy remains within their reach.
45′ – There will be one minute of added time.
44′ – Brockie with an imaginative attempt on the turn, but it’s no real threat to the TPM goal.
42′ – Yellow card – Kalaba booked for a blatant foul on Nhlapo.
40′ – Five minutes to half time, United are showing their strength now and will feel that the game is there for them to win after Mazembe’s early misses.
37′ – Kalaba tries a long-range curler which drifts wide of Williams’ left-hand post.
36′ – Fine defence from Kouame as he clears an awkward ball between Brockie and Grobler.
34′ – Malango crosses from the right, but it’s straight out for a goal kick. The visitors’ attack has gone quite in the last few minutes, with United gradually claiming a control of the game.
31′ – Past the half hour mark, still 0-0. Mazembe with an injury worry after Kimwaki goes down, but he should be okay to play on.
29′ – Grobler goes for goal… hits the wall. The second ball into the box sees Mashamaite find the back of the net, but he’s flagged offside.
28′ – Mbule wins a free kick in the ‘D’ of Mazembe’s box after a foul from Adjei. Great attacking opportunity for the hosts…
27′ – Kiaku gets a talking to from the referee after chopping down Nhlapo on United‘s right flank.
24′ – Past the midway point of the first half here in Tshwane, still 0-0 in the match and 2-1 to TPM on aggregate.
22′ – SuperSport down to 10 men temporarily while Mashamaite receives treatment for a cut to the head.
19′ – Traore shoots from long range… well off target.
17′ – Another comfortable claim for Gbouhouo. An easy evening for TPM’s defence so far.
16′ – United need to shake off the cobwebs, they’re being totally outplayed by Mazembe so far and remain in contention only through sheer luck.
14′ – Great work from Kalaba down the left, his pull back finds Adjei, who misses a glaring chance from close range! It should be 2-0 to the visitors…
12′ – A first touch – and a confident one at that – for goalkeeper Gbouhouo, who claims a left-flank cross from Modiba.
10′ – Kalaba springs the offside trap brilliantly, finds himself faced one-on-one with Williams, but he panics and shoots over! What a great chance missed by the Ravens!
8′ – Kalaba crosses from the left, but there’s no one in the middle for the DRC visitors.
6′ – Mazembe’s first effort in anger comes from Sinkala, whose long-range drive is high and wide.
3′ – Phala crosses from the corner, finds Letsholonyane ahead of the near post, but the midfielder’s flick is out for a goal kick to Mazembe.
2′ – Phala wins the first corner kick of the match in favour of the hosts.
1′ – Kick-off – We are underway in Tshwane! SuperSport wear all blue, while Mazembe are in black and white.
20h10 – The referee for tonight’s clash is Senegalese official Malang Diedhiou. And a reminder that if SuperSport wins the game 2-1, we will go straight to a penalty shootout with no extra time.
19h45 – Half an hour to kick-off in Tshwane. Just a reminder that the first leg in Lubumbashi last weekend ended in a 2-1 win for Mazembe. Adama Traore and Daniel Nii Adjei scored for the Ravens, while Matsatsantsa’s away goal was netted by Sipho Mbule.
