Turkish Super Lig side Kasımpaşa S.K have boosted their squad with the signing of Ghana international Bernard Mensah.

The 22-year-old midfielder spent last season on loan at Portuguese side Vitoria Guimaraes from Spanish giants Atletico de Madrid.

On Wednesday, Kasımpaşa S.K announced on their official website that they had signed Mensah from Atletico ahead of the 2017/18 season.

A club statement read: “Spain 1st league team Atlético Madrid‘s 22-year-old Ghanaian midfielder Bernard Mensah signed a contract with Kasimpaşamız as a lease for 1 year with the purchase option at the signing ceremony in Kemerburgaz Premises.”

Mensah enjoyed regular game time at Guimaraes last season – making 21 appearances in the Primeira Liga.

This will be the promising midfielder’s third loan stint since joining Atletico on a permanent deal from rom Guimaraes in July, 2015.

Mensah spent the first round of the 2015/16 campaign with Spanish side Getafe, before returning to Guimaraes the following season.

The highly-rated midfielder is yet to make his La Liga debut for Atletico.
