Renato Sanches suffers another injury setback
Portuguese midfielder, Renato Sanches who currently plays for Swansea City in the Premier League as a result of a loan move from his parent club Bayern Munich has suffered another injury setback as he is expected to be unavailable for another five weeks.
The 20-year has struggled to maintain fitness this season as he has only featured in less than 700 minutes of League action due to reoccurring injury problems. He was replaced in the club’s 1-1 draw with Notts County in the FA Cup 4th round as he was unavailable for the 3-1 victory over Arsenal and their 1-1 draw at Leicester last weekend.
Club Manager, Carlos Cavalhal has confirmed that the Euro 2016 prospect will not be included in the squad for the FA Cup replay with Notts County and might not be available for selection again until mid- March.
While speaking in a pre-match conference, the Manager said: “Renato will recover in about four or five weeks, I don’t know and he can have an impact until the end of the season,”
“It’s Leon [Britton] and Angel [Rangel], they have been training but with limitations so we are assessing them. We have no problems other than the situations of Renato, Fer, and Bony.
“When one Swan falls it is a chance for another Swan to fly. It is true, it gives a chance for someone else to fly.
“[Fer and Bony] cannot play this season. Fer was doing well and Bony was growing game by game”. The Manager concluded
