Mkhitaryan tags Arsenal move “a dream come true”

New signing, Henrikh Mkhitaryan has described his move to join the Gunners as “a dream come true” after finalizing his swap deal from Manchester United.
The former Borussia Dortmund forward was included in the deal that took Arsenal star, Alexis Sanchez to Old Trafford, he has thus joined Arsenal, signing a three-and-a-half-year contract at the Emirates.
The Armenian International had come close to joining Arsenal in the summer of 2016 when he would ultimately go to United, and at the age of 20 spoke of his wish to play under Arsenal Manager, Arsene Wenger, which he will soon be able to accomplish.
“I’m very happy that we could finish this deal and I’m very happy to be here,” Mkhitaryan said.
“It’s a dream come true because I’ve always dreamed of playing for Arsenal. Now that I’m here, I’ll do my best for this club to create history.”
Wenger has always been an admirer of Mkhitaryan and refused to agree Sanchez’s transfer to Manchester without the 29-year old coming the other way, though France International, Anthony Martial had been his first-choice in any swap deal.
While speaking of his latest signing, Wenger said: “Henrikh is a complete player. He creates chances, he defends well, he can absorb distances and he’s very committed as well.
“I must say he’s a player who has all the attributes.”
Mkhitaryan struggled to make a major impact at Old Trafford, as he scored only 13 goals and provided 11 assists in 63 appearances after joining the Manchester club 18 months ago.
Wenger, however, believes that he can help Mkhitaryan rediscover his 2015/16 season form when he scored 23 times and provided 32 assists in 52 games for Dortmund.
