Manchester United get greenlight over La Liga star

Manchester United has been contacted by La Liga Champions, Real Madrid over a likely deal to take Karim Benzema to Old Trafford in a likely £53.2million deal in the summer.

The former Lyon striker has been a consistent goal poacher for the past few seasons in Europe and since he completed his move from his boyhood club, Lyon to the Spanish capital way back in 2009, he has scored 187 goals alongside 108 assists since then to win three Champions League title, two Spanish League title amongst other local titles.

However, he’s struggled for form this season as the 30-year old striker has only 2 goals to his name so far and reports are emanating that the European Champions might just decide to replace the forward with a younger addition and cash in on him.

According to speculations from TeamTalkare, it was categorically stated that Real Madrid has been in talks with the Manchester club over a possible transfer that involves the French forward.

The Spanish News Agency reported that Madrid president, Florentino Perez met with United’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward to discuss the transfer of Benzema to England in a £53.2m deal

It is believed that this will help Los Blancos land their major target for many transfer windows David De Gea as soon as the window opens again at the end of the season, however it is unclear if United will be interested in listening to such offers.
